To receive the contracted rate you need to make room reservations individually directly with the hotel (ph: 1-800-455-8851). Ask for the group code "GI624" or "G.I. UAF Glacier & Ice Sheets" .
The hotels offers the same room rate for extra days, i.e. IGS participants who wish to stay a few days longer or come earlier.
We will provide free shuttle service to campus in the morning and back to the hotel after sessions and the evening program.
Note that there are basically no hotels in Fairbanks in walking distance to campus and there is almost no public transportation. If the Alpine Lodge is booked out please consider campus accommodation which is within walking distance of all events, or consider renting a car.
